Livemocha was a language learning community with 12 million users from 196 countries. It had a large and active community but was unfortunately closed down by its owners on April 22, 2016. No official explanation was provided and a huge community of users was left without a place for language exchange. Livemocha’s users have now found new communities and new places for language exchange.

SO WHAT'S THE ALTERNATIVE?
With Bilingua, you can find native speakers who share your interests and have interesting conversations.
You can find not only language learning partners, but real new friends from all over the world and learn about different cultures!
Bilingua ensures you are able to do meaningful language practice with your conversation partners.
It does this by ensuring that you’re not left alone with a stranger, but that you have guidance and a learning process, suggested topics to discuss, a dictionary, and other useful features.
The main problem with different language learning apps is that we drop off very easily because they can become boring. It’s very difficult to get motivated to learn languages, and that’s why Bilingua is embracing gamification. Earn points and levels to stay motivated and earn rewards for practising!
Bilingua provides smart tools to track progress, vocabulary lists to help memorizing new words and phrases and a news feed in your target language.
All this keep you motivated, creates an immersive environment and helps you save time by practicing online, anywhere anytime!
